Garage Door Opener Installation

There are two categories of openers based on installation. There are units for professional installation and ones for DIY installation. The former cannot be installed by people without proper technical knowledge and skills. Otherwise, there is a safety risk. The warranty on the unit is breached as well.

Opener Installation Process

The door is prepared for the installation of the device with inspection of the moving parts and the replacement of any damaged ones. The first step of the garage door opener installation is the assembly of the different parts. In case of professional installation, the device has one-piece rail which does not require preliminary assembly. The rail is then mounted to the specially designed bracket above the door. After this, the power unit is aligned to the center of the door and the position where it will be mounted is determined. The mounting gear is installed first and then the unit is mounted on it. The opener safety sensors and the wall button are installed last. The final step involves the adjustment of the device's settings.
